EVMM English Day
At our institution, English Day is not just an annual event, but the culmination of a lively, dynamic, and meaningful educational process. Each year, students from Preschool through sixth grade present skits, songs, and performances entirely in English, as a concrete demonstration of the progress made in their language and communication skills.
The theme for English Day 2025, "Around the World and Beyond," invites us to explore diverse cultures and worldviews through works inspired by international films. This allows our students to apply the language in real-life situations, strengthening their confidence, creativity, and ability to express themselves.
Our educational approach is based on an active pedagogy, where students are the protagonists of their own learning. We believe in meaningful learning, so English is taught through projects, role-playing, games, oral experiences, and collaborative work.
We use the Savvas Learning Company program, an internationally recognized platform that allows students to develop all language skills—listening, reading, writing, and speaking—from an early age.
We complement our curriculum with strategies such as:
-
Project-Based Learning
-
Color-coding for structured writing
-
Oral presentations from Preschool
-
Formative and individualized assessments as needed
Mastering English from an early age enhances cognitive development, improves natural pronunciation, and opens doors to a world of opportunities. Our goal is for students not only to learn a language, but to live it, understand it, and use it confidently.
